1001 things to do in Malaysia: Part #1 - Birdpark

In this place there's a lot of twitter, beautiful trees and serene surroundings -- you'd almost forget that you're actually in a busy city. Kristine and HÃ¥vard still thinks it's not possible for me (or anyone else for that matter) to communicate with the birds by making birdy-sounds, and their opinion was only strengthened a whole lot after a bird-manager just laughed hard when asked if he thought the birds understood my whistling :-D. But I'm not fully convinced yet!

With some unusual lack of luck it started to rain heavily a short while after we entered. When everything is wet and the rain pours down all the avian creatures lose their appetite, so you gotta have some patience if you wanna be feeding the birds. They'll drink honey-milk and eat seeds straight from your hand!

The entrance fee per person is about 48 RM, and 10 RM to have your picture taken together with a choice of two birds, or 35 RM if you want to go 'all in' like the family above, and lastly 1 or 2 RM to be feeding them (the birds, not the people).

All in all it's a good time for restoration and recreation to stop by the Birdpark in Kuala Lumpur, and it's not too far away or too costly either - so you won't need a whole spare day. Now go click them pictures for some nice galleries.
