Awassa is a clean, structured small university town in the south of Ethiopia, with a small lake and a fish market. I went there to relax in my favorite cabins at Midroc Zewed Village. This place has stayed the same since the 1950's and has a nostalgic charm that makes you feel so at home and so relaxed. Here you can sit right by the lake side looking for hippos, while a cow is grazing behind you and small monkeys run around your feet looking for some food to snatch.
