This evening we went to check out Jalan Alor; a small busy street not far from the heart of the city center, among the many shopping centers and malls in Kuala Lumpur. There's a great selection and variety of foods, and we can honestly recommend whatever we had a taste of - Taiwanese noodles with some other stuff :-). While eating, a little child came to sell us some napkins or a pack of chewing gum. - One ringgit! she said, indicating the price with her index finger and persistent smile.
We also saw a lady being pushed in a wheelchair down the street singing karaoke, and I found it quite inspiring to see people having the courage to press on and not letting general set-backs limit their life. On our way back we met this feline creature, which was just laying there peacefully half asleep before we started petting it.
